INSPIRATION/STORY
This collection felt so peaceful to create. I got the idea for this little series over the summer. I had a ritual of going out to my garden in the quiet of the morning to walk around and appreciate what was in bloom. I'd bring little bud vases of flowers into the studio and allow their quiet energy to inspire me.
Circles embody new beginnings and cycles of time, much like the seasons of life. Like walking a labyrinth, painting them has been a way for me to center myself, find stillness and quiet my mind. They've been a meditation on wholeness, unity, compassion, empathy, open-mindedness, peace and love 💞. These are all qualities each of us possess as human beings. The flower in the center represents our individuality and unique gifts we bring to the world. It’s a reminder to always look for the beauty and light within each other.
CREATIVE PROCESS:
I chose to paint with watercolor for this collection. I wanted to get lost in its loose, free fluidity and playfulness. There are many layers of paint including, subtle shimmery and metallic paints that give luster to the work. I wanted their softness to add a little light to the world.

All paintings are on watercolor paper and are signed on the back. They come framed in a lovely copper frame, ready to hang or be put on a shelf. If you are local and would like to arrange studio pick-up, you can email me after your purchase and I will refund your shipping.
