Over the Dunes
This original acrylic painting measures 5 ½ x 5 ½ inches. The sides are hand stamped with vintage text and floated in a one inch natural, hardwood frame. The frame is custom made by my husband with beautifully sourced hardwood. Like the painting, no two frames are alike.
The painting is varnished with an archival semi-gloss varnish. It will arrive carefully packaged, signed on the back and ready to hang.
INSPIRATION
I wanted to capture the joy I feel being in nature and translate the freedom and ease of walking on the shoreline. There’s a feeling of peace that washes over you as you sink your feet into the sand, hear the quiet whisper of the waves and feel the sun kiss your cheeks. You feel wildly connected to something greater than yourself. Your senses are ignited and your imagination expands. Today anything is possible! I used bright, happy colors to express this feeling.
